What is ReadyRosie?

ReadyRosie is an early education tool that is currently helping schools and communities across the nation deepen and scale their parent engagement efforts by leveraging the power of video modeling and mobile technology to meet and equip parents where they are. ReadyRosie has hundreds of brief videos in English and Spanish that model everyday interactions in familiar environments with real parents.

All it takes is 2 minutes a day.

Henna Design Workshop April 29 at 2:00 pm

Teens and tweens aged 12 – 17 can come to the library on April 29 to learn about henna. Not only will they get to paint henna, they’ll get to create their own designs and learn the basics from experts. They’ll also get an introduction to Bollywood dancing. The program starts at 2:00 pm. Recycled Poetry Teen Program on April 25 at 4:30pm

Reuse old words to create new ones! Teens and tweens aged 12 – 17 can come in to the library on April 25 and make their own poetry by dismantling books and recreating their words. Learn to make poetry by collage, and mix and match meaning to make your own. The program starts at 4:30 pm. Teen Game Nights for April

Eggciting Hunt

Egg HuntApril showers did not stop the egg hunt fun from happening at the Northwest Egg HuntBranch Library today.  We learned from our book character friend Hoppy how to find eggs using our five senses and the kids heard a springtime favorite the Tale of Peter Rabbit.  They all made bunny baskets out of paper sacks, filled them from the pool of grass and searched for eggs up and down the book stacks.  Thanks everyone who helped out by donating supplies.

Personal Accessories and Craft Supplies! Spring Swap to refresh and reset yourself. Bring usable accessories such as scarves, belts, bangles, shoes, jewelry, wallets, bags and purses to rotate your own style. Also stretch your creative side with supplies for arts and crafts which could include sewing notions, fabrics, knit/crochet supplies, beads, buttons, clay, craft sticks, paper, stamps, pencils, pens, markers, and more.
