Baby Chicks and Bunnies at the Library....Washcloth, that is!

There were baby chicks and bunnies everywhere at our recent Children's Craft.  Parents and children made their own washcloth chicks and bunnies to stuff their Easter baskets.  If you missed the craft you can link to Own Two Hands to find the instructions.

Spread the Word: Help Someone Learn to Read

Summer is a great time to relax and do more reading -- or to consider helping someone else gain basic reading skills. An opportunity to begin volunteering as a literacy tutor is right around the corner at High Meadows Branch Library, which hosts an orientation on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Friends of the Octavia Fields Library would like to present Bead Crafting with Vicki Almstedt on Monday 5/7/2012 from 5 pm to 6 pm. Participants will make 2 pairs of earrings each. What a great Mother's Day Gift!! Sign ups are required, so hurry in!!
