While watching the movie, we will be cutting up different Marvel pictures and Modge Podging them onto boxes.

Every time we apply for a job, paid or volunteer, they want to look at a resume to see what experience and education.

Join Mr. John in the Computer Lab on Wednesday, April 25gth at 5 PM to make a quick resume with the different templates that MS Word has to offer.

Drone Flying Club [8 to Adult] - Monday, April 23 at 5 PM

The South Belt Ellington area has always been an innovative location for the expansion of aerospace.

With a grant from the Parker Williams and Harris County Friends of the Library, we have been able to purchase the equipment to begin our own drown flying club.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to fly a quadcopter, you can learn right here at the Parker Williams Branch Library on the second and fourth Monday from 5 PM to 6 PM.

Spring is the season of growth, creation, and rebirth.

These themes extended into Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring and Vivaldi’s movement Spring.

For the month of April, we will be playing Your Lie in April in the Library Community Room on April 20th at 5PM.  

Get your savings on track, decorate your own piggy bank

Next week is Houston Money Week, featuring free finance education workshops all over the Houston area. Parker Williams Branch Library is hosting sessions Tuesday through Thursday for individuals as well as parents and kids related to money, savings and budgeting.

Budgeting 101 takes place on Tuesday, April 17 at 10:30 a.m. Learn some strategies to extend your resources overall and some tips you may never have thought of to track spending, organize bill paying and plan for savings. Anyone is welcome.

Parents and young children: join us on Wednesday or Thursday, April 18 and 19, at 10:30 a.m. to decorate a piggy bank and engage in some other fun activities for parents and young children related to money and saving.

Community Craft – Spring Hat [All Ages] - Thursday, April 19th at 4 PM

Springtime is here as we start to come out of our winter hidey holes and meet the new season.

For most of us, this means going out and about in the sun.

For our April Community Craft, we are going to be making a Spring Hat.

Science Explorers – Bubbles [5+] - Wednesday, April 18 from 5 PM

One of the questions we get a lot is about teaching little ones science.

The best way for our beginning readers to learn about science is to explore the concepts by experience.

On Wednesday, April 18th at 5 PM in the Library Community Room, we will be hosting our second meeting of Science Explorers.

The kids will be able to learn about bubbles and solutions.

Children will get to experience the bubbles as we will try a variety of different shapes.

Magic: The Gathering Gameplay [8+] - Monday, April 16 from 6-7:30 PM

Magic: The Gathering is a dueling card game from Wizards of the Coast.

It incorporates strategy, mythical lore, and competitive-community play.

Join us on April 16th on the Library Floor for a few hours of game play from 6-7:30 PM.

For those who would like to learn how to play, a staff member will be present to teach you.
