The Page Turners

Spy ChristmasTitle to be discussed: The spy who came for Christmas by David Morrell.  Date of meeting: Tuesday, December 11, 6:30 p.m.  Summary: "As holiday celebrations take place in Santa Fe, Agent Paul Kagan is on the run with a baby the Russian mafia wants to destroy and turns to a mother and her young son for help during a violent night where they all must work together to keep the child safe from harm."

Teen Book Club--Scythe

ScytheAfter Thanksgiving, teens should join us for Teen Book Club! Teen Book Club will be Tuesday, November 27 from 4-5 PM. We will be eating pizza while we discuss the book Scythe by Neal Shusterman. You can stop by the front desk of the Spring Branch-Memorial Library to check out a special book club copy of this book.

Thanksgiving Holiday Library Hours

We will close early on Wednesday, November 21, at 5:00 p.m.  The storytimes will take place as scheduled:Cornucopia

Baby time—10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Toddler time—11:30 a.m.

There will be no after-school program.

We will be closed Thursday through Sunday, November 22-25, in observance of Thanksgiving.  We will reopen on Monday, November 26 at 1:00 p.m.

Evening class--Microsoft Word: An Introduction

WordThe class will cover the following: setting MS Word defaults; text and paragraph editing; and creating, saving, and printing documents.

Trees: Planting and Care (Includes Fruit Trees)

Fruit treesFall is the time to plant trees in Houston.  If you have ever thought that growing trees is challenging, or you would like to expand your gardening know-how, come to the next meeting of the Harris County Master Gardeners.  Their experts will walk you through planting, growing and caring for trees.
