Free Family Fun @ the Library!

If you've previously attended one of our storytimes, you will notice that Ms Rucker's program is very reflective of our goals related to emotional, social, and cognitive growth. As a many of you know, I have a background in Montessori education and child development. As an educator, I cannot say enough wonderful things about this program. I hope to see you there!

Infants and Babies @ the library? Yes!

Mother Goose is a gentle early-learning program for infants 0-18 months along with their parents or caregiver. We enjoy sing-alongs, book sharing and play. Registration is not required.

Do You have a Gift for Mother's Day?

This Sunday is Mother's Day! Do you have a gift yet? 

Children who attend family storytime this evening will have an opportunity to create a poster for mom, or another special family member.  

When: Monday, May 6 @ 7:00 PM

Twilight Tales is a fun storytime for the entire family. Each week we focus on creating a positive storytime experience to inspire a love of reading by enjoying a variety of stories, sing-alongs, movement, play and a craft. This program is held every Monday at 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted. I hope to see you there!

Celebrating 100 Years of Children's Literature

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary Children’s Book Week; the longest-running national celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading.The theme this year is Read Now • Read Forever.

Special Guest @ STEM Club! Come Meet a Beekeeper

STEM Club: Bees for Gades 2-5.

Celebrate Earth Day a week early as we learn about the importance of bees in our environment. Talk with a special beekeeper guest and ask questions! We'll be having a honey tasting; so, please be aware of any allergies beforehand. 

When:Monday, April 15 at 4 pm. 

This is a free program but requires registration.  

Hispanic Heritage Celebration for Families

Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by enjoying stories, a puppet show, and crafts highlighting Mexican culture as well as the diversity of Hispanic and Latino cultures around the world. We will also enjoy a tasty treat and have a drawing for cool prizes! This program is in place of our Twilight Tales (Family Storytime) program, and will begin 30 minutes earlier than normal at 6:30 pm.

Please be aware that space and supplies are limited.

The F.O.A.L. Annual Book Sale is this weekend!

The F.O.A.L. Annual Book Sale is this weekend! School is starting again soon, and this is a great time to stock up classrooms and kids’ bookshelves.  The majority of items will be available for a dollar or less. All proceeds from the sale will directly benefit the Atascocita Branch Library.

The International Space Station Display @ HCPL

NASA's International Space Station Exhibit Orbits Around HCPL! The NASA display can currently (June 13 - June 27) be found at the Atascocita Branch Library.  To expand your learning experience, have have included a few book suggestions, as well as, a resource list that I think you will find interesting. Enjoy!
