African American History Month Program

African American History Month

In celebration of African American History Month, we welcome storyteller Kathy Culmer to share African and African American folktales. Storytelling will be followed by snacks and a craft.

Country Club participants will receive a special stamp for their passports.

Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.

For ages: 5-11

Space is limited for story time and after school programs. Please arrive early to ensure your participation; free tickets or sign-in sheet will be available 30 minutes prior to programs or 15 minutes prior to 10 a.m. programs.

STEM Time - African American Inventors and Engineers February 23rd @ 5 PM [8+]

      Have you ever wondered where the phrase, “The real McCoy” came from? Have you ever thought about who invented the traffic light as you waited for the green? Have you ever pondered, which came first, peanuts or peanut butter?

     Come and join us in the Library Community Room on February 23rd starting at 5 PM to learn more about the different contributions of African American inventors, scientists, and engineers.
