Children's MuseumWould you like to get your 3-7 year old child off to a good start with learning?  Try our For the Children bilingual storytime designed by the Children's Museum of Houston.  This Wednesday, October 3rd at 4:30pm in the Northwest Branch Library meeting room we will have a Children's Museum storyteller to present a brand new Para los Ninos theme called Building Bucks.  We ask that a parent or caretaker come with the children. At the end of the workshop, after you fill out a short survey you will receive a free pass good for four people to visit the Children's Museum. Can your mind come out to play?

Opera Cat

If you were in the Aldine Library on the morning of January 20th, 2011, you may have heard some opera singing in the building! Ms. Cecilia Duarte of Houston Grand Opera was on hand to read “OPERA CAT" by Tess Weaver at the Aldine Library's Bilingual Storytime. Ms. Duarte presented the book through storytelling and song in English and Spanish. The performance was a real treat for the children and parents in attendance.
