Find Your True Book Love with a Blind Date with a Book

Looking for something new this February?  Love? Adventure? Excitement?  Then try our Blind Date with a Book!  The display will be up now until February 22nd (or until there are no more dates left to be checked out).  Books have been chose from a variety of YA genres and age groups from 6th – 12th grade.  Some are new releases and some are oldies, but goodies.  So stop by the Teen Area and check out a Blind Date with a Book.  You know you want to.  Contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804 for more information.

Banned Books Week 30th Anniversary

Stop by our Young Adult Department to see the comprehensive "Banned Books" Display created by our YA Librarian, Leanne Posey.  Any patron who checks out a "banned book" is eligible to win a prize, a gift certificate for Barnes & Noble! Just fill out the entry form and submit it when you check out at the Circulation Desk.

Ninja Praying MantisDid you enjoy the ant farms in the display area by the Reference Desk? What about the lady bugs larve? Well... guess what! We have Praying Mantises on the way! They will be hatching in 3-6 weeks. While we have to wait for the weather to warm a bit for them to come out and play, they will sure be an interesect-ing sight.
