Precinct 4 Fun4Seniors Events

BatsIn September, Harris County Precinct 4’s Fun4Seniors program will be sponsoring two bus trips starting from the library parking lot. Contact the Senior Adult Program at 281-893-3726 for more information about all of their offerings for adults age 50+.
On Saturday, September 10, take a trip to Caldwell, Texas, for the Kolache Festival. This trip is free. The bus departs at 8:30 am and returns at 5:00 pm.

Upcoming Events for Seniors 50+

• A trip to the Bryan Museum in Galveston on July 15, $10, departing from Fairbanks Library at 9 am.
• A group volunteer outreach to the Star of Hope Mission on August 2, free, departing from Fairbanks Library at 8:15am.
• A bus trip to the Annual Precinct 4 Opry at the Humble Convention Center on August 12, $15, departing from Jersey Village Baptist Church at 4:30pm.

Explore Galveston’s Bryan Museum!

Bryan MuseumThis beautiful former orphanage houses 70,000 items representing the history of southwestern United States from ancient Native American cultural artifacts to extraordinary 21st century pieces. Treasures include exquisite saddles, spurs, antique firearms, folk art and fine art, exceptionally rare maps and books, and rare German, French, Spanish, and English documents. Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program offers tickets and transportation to adults age 50 and better. This trip is on January 22 and costs $6 per person plus the cost of your lunch at Olympia Grill before the museum visit. The bus will leave the library parking lot at 9 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.

50+ Bus Trip to Houston Zoo Lights!

zoo lightsJoin us on Thursday, December 3 for a festive 50+ bus trip to see the Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo! Please meet in the lobby of the LSC-Tomball Community Library by 3:15 pm, as the bus will leave promptly at 3:30 pm. We will eat an early dinner at Niko Niko’s before seeing the Zoo Lights, then arrive back at the library by 9:30 pm.

Please bring money for dinner and entrance to Zoo Lights. The Zoo Lights entrance fee is $14.95 per person.

Must be 50 or better to attend. Space is limited, and registration is required. Seats on the bus are limited, so register early! You may register in person, over the phone, or online at the HCPL Events Calendar. The bus is provided courtesy of the Harris County Precinct 4 Senior Adult Program.

Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM - TGIF Senior Adult Trips – Tuesday 11/10 - Old Town Spring

If you are at least 50 years old, then we hope you will join us on a special Tuesday day trip to Old Town Spring on TUESDAY, November 10, 2015. The Precinct2gether bus departs from the Freeman Library parking lot no later than 9:30 AM.

On TUESDAY, November 10, TGIF Senior Adult Trips will be making an excursion to Old Town Spring. We will enjoy a leisurely day of holiday shopping. You may choose among several unique restaurants for lunch on your own. The stores will be decorated and stocked with holiday items.

Precinct 4 Seniors Are Brookwood Bound

BrookwoodIf you’ve never been to the Brookwood Community in Brookshire, you’re missing out. Brookwood is a nonprofit residential facility and vocational program for adults with disabilities. The accomplishments of the Brookwood’s citizens are amazing and inspirational.

Kolaches, Yum!

KolachesThe Precinct 4 Senior Adult Program invites you (if you’re age 50 or better) to the 25th annual Czech Kolache-Klobase Festival in East Bernard on Saturday, June 13. The bus will leave the Fairbanks Library parking lot at 10:45 a.m. and return at 5:15 p.m.

Galveston, oh Galveston!
