Santa's Ranch

We have the best way to start your Christmas holiday!  This Friday, December 19th from 1 pm to 4:30 pm is our famous annual Santa's Ranch!  This year the entertainment will include Taylor High School Madrigal Singers,  a jazz band, and a string quartet. There will also be ongoing activities that include, Gingerbread House crafts to make and eat, Santa's Workshop Crafts, Reindeer Games, and face painting!  There will be lots of refreshments including Chez Rudolph Treats!   Don't miss Santa's Gift Shop to stock up on some wonderful last minute gifts.  They are all wrapped up with a pretty bow ready to stick under the tree. You can choose books, CD's, or DVD's.  Something for everyone!  Make plans to come and have a wonderful time with us.  Santa will be here too!  We look forward to seeing you!

Give a Little, Help a Lot!

This season we have two opportunities to help others less fortunate.  We are now accepting donations for the Share Your Holidays Food Drive and the Toys for Tots program.   There is a big box set up by the Children's Reference desk.  Just bring your nonperishable food donations or unwrapped new toy donations.  Drop them in the box and we will see that they get to a family or child in need.

Mexican Foil Art Craft

Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans to the United States. It is also a time to celebrate their heritage and culture. Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th and ends on October 15, and what better way to celebrate a culture than to explore some of their art and traditions. Come join us here at High Meadows Library on Monday September 29th at 4:00 p.m. for our Mexican Foil Art Project. Try your hand at making this beautiful traditional art and enjoy some snacks and refreshments as well.
