CHILDREN’S WEEKLY RUN-DOWN! Happy Independence Day!

Our Story times continue with their new schedule! Be here for Toddler Time** on Tuesday @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM, Infant Lapsit Storytime @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday, and Preschool Storytime on Wednesday @ 11 AM. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 where you can enjoy stories and a craft!

**Tickets required upon entry. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

BUILD: A BETTER WORLD: Join us for the fourth meeting of our Maker Monday Club on Monday, the 3rd of July, @ 2:15 PM. We will be building and creating a new and exciting craft out of recycled materials every week!

We will also have our fifth Block Party this Friday, the 7th of July, @ 2:15 PM!

Summer Reading Sign-up Event

   

Drop in to sign up for Summer Reading fun! Pick up your reading logs and learn how to track your reading progress this summer. This is a great time to get answers to all your Summer Reading Program questions!

We will be decorating our own book bags (while supplies last).

ABC mouse is available for free at the Northwest Library

ABCmouse is now available to Northwest Library customers. ABCmouse is an online, educational software that provides 5000+ interactive books, educational games, puzzles, and other learning activities for children, ages 2-7 years old.  ABCmouse is available only on the library computers; there is no remote access to this resource. Para los Ninos  Math at Home is Tuesday, August 2, 2016 @ 10:30 AM

Math is present in our world all the time - in the workplace, in our homes and in our community. Math is in your life from the time you wake until the time you go to sleep. You are using math each time you set your alarm, buy groceries, mix a baby's formula, keep score or time at an athletic event, wallpaper a room, decide what tennis shoes to buy, or wrap a present. You can talk about numbers and how you use them everyday. Get your children off on the right foot by showing them how YOU use numbers all day.

Summer Reading @ HCPL Starts June 6!

Harris County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program kicks off June 6 with new incentives & new ways to participate.

Harris County Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Program has never been just about reading. Summer at HCPL is about reading and all the ways it helps you engage more fully with the world around you. With that in mind, for the first time, HCPL will offer incentives not only for what you read, but for what you do, as well.

Family Storytime!

               Free program!

Join Ms. Wendy for stories, rhymes and fun!
Program will be held outdoors, weather permitting.
