Monster Kid's Craft

Are you ready for some festive Fall fun? Join us Wednesday, October 19 at 4:30 pm at North Channel Branch when you can create your own spooky monster out of popsicle sticks! This program is recommended for ages 4 years and up. No tickets are required.

Decorate A Giant Egg @ North Channel

easter eggKids, decorate your own giant egg!  We'll be decorating giant eggs made out of poster board with glitter, sequins, jewels and more.  Come make an egg and enjoy some bunny treats too!  The fun starts at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 20th.  Be sure to hop on by!

Dragoneers for 2013!

Dragoneers will be starting 2013 with a bang!  The book club for school age children reading chapter books will have a craft on Thursday, January 10, at 4 pm making masks using balloons.  Miss Connie has said that you can make masks or helmets.

On Magical Monday, January 14, there will be a craft celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King. The Kingwood Library will be closed the following Monday, January 21 for the day.

 

Candy Train Christmas!

Take a trip on Chris Van Allsburg's magical Polar Express Thursday, December 13th, 4:30 pm at the Stratford Library!

Monarch Butterfly Craft

Monarch butterflies will be migrating soon, and the school aged children will make some butterflies for Marvelous Monday Craft on Monday, October 3, at 4 pm.

We have started a new story time on Tuesday afternoons  at 4:30 called "Family Story Time."

Thrilling Thursday at 4 pm will be ZumbAtomic, which is movement and music with a Latin beat for kids.

"Mysterious Monday" Craft

Kids, are you still hoping for some snow to fall in Kingwood?  How about making some paper plate snowmen?  We'll be making them in the Children's Activity Room on Monday, January 3 at 4 pm.  This is for kids 4 -12.  Come join Miss Penny for some fun.

"Mysterious Mondays" Craft

"Mysterious Mondays" craft for Monday, December 20, at 4 pm will be making a star with beads.  Children can joins us in the Children's Activity Room.  If you are looking for something for your children to do over the holiday break, bring them to the library for a little crafting fun.

"Mysterious Mondays" Snowflakes

Snowflakes will be whirling and turning in the Children's Activity Room on Monday, December 6 at 4pm.  Come bring your school aged children to have some fun making this craft.  There will be pasting and, of course, some glitter and glue.  As Miss Connie says, "There never can be too much glitter!" 

"Mysterious Monday" After School Craft

Kids join Miss Penny on Monday, November 22, at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room to make a craft with Indian Corn to take home and decorate a table for Thanksgiving Day.

Don't forget our "Fabulous Friday" at the movies in the same place on Friday, November 19, at 4 pm.  The movie is a favorite animated film.  We still serve hot popcorn for free. 

The library will be closed from Wednesday, November 24 to Monday, November 29, at 1 pm.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Dragoneers Club

The Dragoneers will be reading historical fiction or books with an historical topic, making poppies for "Armistice Day,"

and trying out some "pilgrim" snacks on Thursday, November 11, at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room.
