This is no April Fool's joke...join us for some fun children's programs this month. We will have afterschool programs on several Monday afternoons at 4:30 pm. On Monday, April 8, children ages 5-11 are invited to try out our new Legos. We'll have these colorful plastic bricks in the Children's Activity Space for children to create their own masterpieces. Due to limited quantities, these Legos cannot be taken home. Parents are encouraged to bring a camera to take a picture of their child's creation. On Monday, April 15, Bricks4Kids will be here for a program on creating Solar Panels. This program is designed for children 5-11 years old. On Monday, April 22, children can celebrate Earth Day by making recycled crafts.&nb 
Spring Break is coming up soon and if you're looking for fun, free ways to keep your kids and teens engaged and entertained, Harris County Public Library is just the ticket. In addition to their regular slate of programs, many HCPL branches will host special events the week of March 11 - 16. February is the shortest month of the year, but it certainly is packed with holidays and special events! The Children's Department will have several fun craft and music programs in February to celebrate Black History Month, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
