The Art of Story Time!

Anyone can “read” a story...but planning and presenting a story time is truly an art form!  Your Tomball Children’s staff  spends many hours each week choosing age appropriate themes and books as well as songs, fingerplays, activities and crafts.  The number one goal for a storyteller is for your child to have a wonderful experience and leave with a big smile on their face!  With that in mind, we are happy to offer story times for all ages and stages:

  1. Baby Bookworms - newborn - walker in training - every Monday at 9:30 am - enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, mother goose rhymes, fine motor coordination activities, parachute play and interraction with other moms and babies.
  2. Read and Play - Walkers through 18 months - every Monday at 10:30 am - enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, small game play, fine motor activities, sensory play and interraction with other moms and babies.
  3. Toddler Time - 18 months to 3 years - every Tuesday at 10:30 am and every Wednesday at 9:30 am - enjoy a themed story time with at least 2 books, songs, fingerplays, movement activities, parachute play, an age appropriate craft and play time with other children.
  4. Preschool Story Time - 3 - 5 years - every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 am - enjoy a themed story time with at least 3 books, songs, fingerplays, participation activities, parachute play and an age appropriate craft.
