Computer Boot Camp Coming in January!

Computer Boot CampDo you need some help getting started using a computer? Or perhaps you need to hone your computer skills? Beginning in January the Katy Library will be hosting a nine part Computer Boot Camp for new computer users. We will go over skills such as using the mouse and keyboard, organizing files and folders, copying & pasting, surfing the web and much more!

Holiday Cards Computer Class

Notch up your holiday cards this season by adding personalized touches with our do-it-yourself Holiday Gift Cards computer class.   We will be teaching you to create your own cards using Microsoft Publisher.  There are still openings for the Gift Cards Class this Tuesday, December 2nd at 7pm.  If you can’t make that one you can learn the basics with our Microsoft Publisher Class on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.  Both c

So Many Photos!

 Do you have a lot of photos that the world needs to see? Want to share your latest selfie? Or are you just tired of your photos being unorganized? Come on by Maud Marks Library on November 17 at 7 PM, the library is offering a computer class on Photo Websites & Apps in the computer lab. In this class learn how to organize, edit, and post your photos using popular websites like Flickr, PicCollege, and Dropbox. Start posting your photos in no time!

Facebook Photos anyone?

Do you Facebook?  Have you ever posted a picture?  Do you need to learn how?  Come to class tomorrow Friday, the 19th and our Tech Trainer will teach you the steps to posting, tagging and developing your photo albums on Facebook.  The class starts at 3 pm and all ages are welcome.

What's a Flash Drive?

Come to the library on September 5th and find out what a flash drive is, what it does and just how to use it.  It may also be known as a jump drive, memory stick, or a usb drive.  At 3 pm, in our meeting room we will have a computer class to tell you just how to use it.  Trying to send an attachment from your e-mail to someone else but need to make changes first?  This class will tell you all about that.  

August Computer Classes: Email Basics

Create and learn how to use an email account in "Email Basics," a four-part training taking place on August 6, 8, 13 and 20. All sessions are from 3 to 5 p.m. To register for these sessions, call the library at 281-484-2036.  You can also register by clicking on the event on our events calendar

Computer and Device ClassesThe Kingwood Library offers a wide range of computer classes to help you with your electronic devices. Check out our classes below for help on your iPad, eReaders, MS Office 2013, or cloud storage. January Computer Lab Classes

It's not too late to participate in one of the very popular computer classes here at Maud Marks Library.  There are still two different classes available.  This Thursday, Jan. 23 at 10 am. you can sign up for eBooks II.  Next Tuesday, Jan. 28th at 1 pm Computer Basics will be taught.  There is a waiting list for Intermediate Microsoft Word II which is being held on Saturday, Jan 25th at 10 am.   All classes are held in our Computer Lab and require pre-registration or call 281-492-8592.  Be sure to pick up a copy of our Events flier that comes out every month. It lists all the computer classes that we offer.  There will be new classes in February if you missed one this month.  There is always something for everyone at the library.  Don't miss out!  Pick up a copy of our Events flier at the check-out desk today!

Get a new tablet or e-reader during the holidays? Need help figuring it out? Come see us! On Thursday, January 9th at 11:30 am we'll be hosting a one hour open workshop. Bring in your device and we'll answer your questions and help with demonstrations. If you don’t have a device, you can still come and we’ll bring ours out for you to play with.
