New to using an iPad? Want to learn the basics?

On Friday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m we will be offering "iPad Basics" for the beginner.  To register for this free class held in our Computer Lab, stop by the Adult Services information desk or call the library @ 281-360-6804.

iPad Essentials for the Beginner!

Have an iPad but don't know how to use it?  Learn the essentials of your iPad such as customizing apps, settings, and more! To register for this free class, stop by the Adult Services desk or contact the library @ 281-360-6804.

Find That Dream Job

Are you ready to find that dream job?  We want to help!  On Saturday, April 20 at 10 AM, we will be hosting a class on how to use our Job & Career Accelerator Database.  The database can be used to help you decide which career would be perfect for you.  Then, you can use it to find that perfect job.  Finally, create the ultimate resume and cover letter to get yourself that interview.  Use the database to track the entire process as you work towards getting your dream job!  Learn to do all this and more!

"Basic Computers" and "Basic Internet"!

The Kingwood Library has scheduled two computer classes for the beginner.  "Basic Internet"  will be offered on Saturday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. "Basic Computers" will be offered on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. Both of these free classes will be held in the library's Computer Lab. To register, contact the library @ 281-360-6804 or stop by the Adult Services information on the 2nd floor. 

Networking For Job Seekers!

Come join Cheryl of Workforce Solutions as she shares her expertise on using social media such as Linked In, Facebook, and Twitter to increase your networking connections!  This free workshop will be held in our computer lab on Tuesday, January 22, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Registration is required. Learn to Borrow Library eBooks for Kindle Devices!

This Friday, December 14,  we will present two classes on downloading free eBooks from the library to your Kindle device!  The first half of each class will cover the HCPL Digital Media Catalog and searching for books. The last half of each class will cover the downloading process.  Join us @ at 1:30 PM  for the Kindle Fire; 3:00 PM for other Kindle devices. These free classes require registration. Evening Excel Class Offered

We will be offering an evening class on Microsoft Excel 2007 on Monday, January 10, at 6:30 P.M.  Learn the basics of MS Excel as you create your own project.
