Decorations

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas @ Aldine

When you walk into the Aldine Library, a Christmas tree with greets you in the children's section. Poinsettas adorn the checkout counter. We hope these decorations- together with our Christmas-themed books, DVDs, and CDs- brighten your day. Happy Holidays from the Aldine Library.

Holidays ideas at Maud Marks

The nice cooler weather we have been enjoying lately reminds us that the holidays are around the corner. Come to Maud Marks Library to plan your activities. There are books you and your family would want to read about the history of Thanksgiving, Kwanza and Christmas. Menus and recipes, crafts and decorations will be found in books and magazines as well. The library will also present some programs. Just a sneak preview: Afternoon Art on Wednesday Nov 13 will cover Thanksgiving napkins.

Holiday Creations

Want to help us decorate for the holidays?  Bring in your holiday or winter themed artwork and we will put it on display for all to see and admire.  Create an intricate paper snowflake or a construction paper snowman like the one behind our front desk.  You can also find many holiday themed craft ideas near 745.594 in the non-fiction area.  Worried about your creative skills?  Fret not!  Throughout December, we will have various coloring pages for our patrons to scribble on.
