The Green Thumb Lecture Series returns Thursday, 1/17 @ 6:30 with topic: Preparing Garden Beds & Lawns

The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension - Harris County Horticulture and the Harris County Master Gardeners are pleased to offer the Green Thumb Gardening Series of lectures at the Freeman Library from January to October of 2019. Lectures will be held on the third Thursday of every month on a variety of topics. These Lectures are FREE.

The Friends of Freeman Library supports the Green Thumb Lecture Series.

This month's selection is the novel The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.

Join us as we discuss this heartwarming story about a writer who develops life changing friendships with an unlikely group of people in post-WWII England.

The Freeman Mystery Book Group is a gathering of mystery book enthusiasts. No registration is required. A new author is chosen each month.

For the January meeting, we will discuss mysteries by author Andrew Vachss. Read any of his books and come share your thoughts, or just tell us what mysteries you've been reading! Check the library catalog to request items or contact the library for assistance.

Adults - Pick Up A Crafts-To-Go Kit Today!

Adults - Stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up a Crafts-To-Go kit. This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. We're kicking off 2019 with a bead and ribbon bookmark project. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last. 1 craft kit/adult present.

Please join us for the last event of TGIF Programs Winter Film Fest on Friday, 01/04. We will show the 1991 animated feature relating the fairy tale of a selfish prince is cursed to become a monster for the rest of his life, unless he learns to fall in love with a beautiful young woman he keeps prisoner. This film, rated G, lasts 84 minutes.
