TGIF Programs - Spring Into A Spring Roll: A Food Demo - Friday!


Adults - please join TGIF Programs in the Children's Activity Space on Friday, May 20 at 10:30 AM for the "Spring into a Spring Roll: A Food Demo" event. Freeman staff will show the audience how to make tasty spring rolls. This food demo is part of the Freeman Cultural Series (‪#‎FMCulturalSeries‬).

This free event will require no registration. The refreshments prepared in this event will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

TGIF Programs Tech Q&A Series - This Friday!


Adults - The TGIF Programs' popular “Technology Question & Answer” Series continues in the upstairs Training Lab Friday, May 13 at 10:30 AM. Seize the opportunity to ask people at Freeman Library about computers, smartphones, mobile devices, and eMedia from the HCPL Digital Media Catalog. Please feel free to bring along your portable technology devices.This will be the last Technology Q&A session before the Summer Break.

#FMCulturalSeries Film Night is Thursday!

Adults - In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month the Freeman Library will be showing the 2006 film The Namesake, starring Irrfan Khan and Kal Penn. If you miss this night, the film will have an encore during the TGIF Programs Friday Film Series on May 27 at 10:15 am.

Senior Adult Trips Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM!

If you are at least 55 years old, then we hope you will register for a day trip on Thursday, June 09. The Precinct2gether bus will depart from the Freeman Library parking lot.

TGIF Programs Hosting COM 50 Plus Program This Friday Morning!

TGIF Programs will host a presentation by the College of the Mainland (COM) 50 Plus Program this at 10:30 AM. The COM 50 Plus Program offers classes and lectures, as well as a day and extended travel program. This free presentation will require no registration. Refreshments for this presentation will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.

A New Adult Crafts-To-Go Project Available

Adults - stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up an Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. This month, we'll be making a springtime craft (as pictured). This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last.

TGIF Programs Friday Film Series - This Friday!

The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series will continue Friday, April 29 at 10:15 AM. We will be showing Harvey, the 1950 film starring James Stewart as someone who insists that he has an invisible six-foot rabbit for a best friend.

TGIF Programs Hosts Time Capsule Discussion Friday!

Adults - 50 years ago today, members of the Clear Lake community buried the Clear Lake Theatre Time Capsule (CLTTC). This Friday at 10:30 AM, TGIF Programs will host a brief discussion of the unearthed time capsule followed by a showing of The Trouble with Angels,  the film shown at the Clear Lake Theatre following the burial of the CLTTC back in 1966.
