  The following Children’s programs are currently open for registration!  On Tuesday, September 15th, at 4:30 pm children can learn about gardening and work on their certification at Junior Master Gardeners!  This program is for children ages 7 – 12 and is limited to 10.  And, enjoy book discussion, related crafts and activities at the *Bluebonnet Book Club!  This program meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at 1:30 pm and is for children in grades 3rd – 5th.  *Registration is 1 time for the entire session which runs from 9/20 – 1/25.   Call 832-559-4235 to register and for more information on any of our fabulous Children's Programs!

Little Sprouts Garden Club Decorate Flowerpots for Mom












The Little Spouts Garden club had a ball creating thumbprint art  ladybugs, bumblebees and other bugs to decorate flower pots for their mothers to give to their mothers for Mother's Day this Sunday.  The Little Sprouts (ages 5-7) and the The Sprouts Garden Club (ages 7-12) meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Tomball library to participate in hands on activities to help them learn about gardening. Tomball Children's Garden Club Spring Planting

The Kids Garden Club at the Tomball Library has resumed meetings for the Spring season. Two rows of okra were planted for a summer crop and the kids made salad and a dressing with the salad greens that were grown over the winter break. Garden Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month between last and first freezes of the year. This Spring we will work on the Ecology and Environmental Horticulture Certificate of their Golden Ray Series of the Junior Master Gardener Program. All children 5-12 are welcome to participate but must register no earlier than the Monday of the previous week. Registration is limited to 10 children per meeting. Please call 832-559-4235 for more information or to register.

Featuring Afterschool Programs for Kids!

Kids are you looking for something to do afterschool? The library is the place to be! There is something for everyone so when you come to check out books, check out our afterschool programs!  Next week we've got:

Game Day which takes place Tuesday afternoon at 4:30pm in the Robin Bush Room. Bring a friend to play board games with or play games while making new friends.

Wednesday at 4:30pm join us in the Robin Bush Room for the next Garden Club meeting. The courtyard garden is the special project for Garden Club members.  So if you like gardening, share your talents with us.

Afterschool storytime takes place in the Robin Bush Room on Thursday at 4:30pm. Listen to some great stories and participate in an art project or craft at the end of storytime.
