Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

   Join us Thursday, October 4 at 6:30 pm for a special evening storytime to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.  The storytime is designed for preschool age children and their families.  It will feature stories, songs, and a craft.  The craft will be a dough ornament for the children to take home and decorate.   Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program.   For more information on this program and other programs for children, please call us at 281-488-1906.

Adult Programs in October @ your library

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library invites you to join us for our October Programs*.  We look forward to under50over, various book clubs (mystery, great books, two science fiction/fantasy clubs, and *NEW* - Spanish Language Book Club), Crafts-to-Go, Freeman Needlecrafters, Appy Hour, College Series - Part III – Financial Aid,  Movies & Mocktails, MWA Advisors, Girl Scout Express, and Clear Lake Area Writers (CLAW). Don’t forget – Hispanic Heritage Month continues through Monday, October 15th.

All programming is supported by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Celebrate the Hispanic Heritage of Texas

Teens Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Mini Pinatas!

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Kingwood Library!  Monday, September 17, 2012 at 3:30 pm, teens ages 12-18 are invited to create mini pinatas!  This program will take place in the Conference Room on the second floor of the library.  All supplies (including candy to put in the pinatas) will be provided by the library; supplies, however, are limited.  Please be aware of any possible food allergies.

Mini Pinatas!

Mini PinataHispanic Heritage Month is here!  Celebrate this special month with our next Craft & Go on Saturday, September 15th at 1:30 PM.  We will be giving away our Mini Piñata craft kits at the Service Desk.  Supplies are limited.  First come, first serve.  These Mini Piñatas are adorable and fun to make!  This craft is most suitable for adults.

Crafts-to-Go Salutes National Hispanic Heritage Month

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library will offer the continuation of the Adult “Crafts- to-Go!” program in conjunction with National Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday, September 4th.  This time, we'll be crafting a flower key chain as pictured on the right. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.  This project will be available at the Second Floor Information Desk while supplies last.

Victor Rocha and the Nueva Luna Dance Academy @ your library

Please join us at the Clear Lake City - County Freeman Library as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. On Thursday, October 6th at 6:30 pm, Victor Rocha and the Nueva Luna Dance Academy will dance their way through the states of Mexico. This presentation will begin in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor of the library. It will be fun for the entire family.
