Merry Christmas

I have always loved  children's Christmas books, and at one point, I had a rather large collection. Incorporating books into holiday celebrations is a great family tradition.

I am excited to tell you that this has been an amazing year for holiday books.  All of the books listed here were published during 2012. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised at how many wonderful authors have shared their creative talents. I hope that you enjoy reading these items as much as I have.

Day of the Dead

"Día de los muertos <<DEE ah deh lohs MWEHR tohs>> is a Mexican holiday that honors the dead. Many Mexican American communities also celebrate it. Día de los muertos is a Spanish phrase meaning day of the dead. On this day, families gather in churches, at cemeteries, and in homes. They pray for and remember loved ones who have died. The celebration is usually on November 2, the Roman Catholic religious festival of All Souls' Day. Some people celebrate over several days, including All Saints' Day on November 1.
