Holocaust Museum Houston

Are you 50 years old or better? Sign up for a free bus trip to the Holocaust Museum Houston.

HMHThe library will be taking a free bus trip to visit the Holocaust Museum Houston on Tuesday, January 22nd. We leave at 9:00AM from the library and return at 1:30PM. A special tour will be provided by a knowledgeable museum docent. Attendees must be 50 years or older to participate and must also be preregistered! 22 spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis!

The Butterfly Project

Between Monday, April 9 and Friday, April 20, patrons can stop by the library to make paper butterflies. The butterflies will be donated to the Holocaust Museum Houston for an upcoming special exhibition.  Materials will be available Monday through Friday (with the exception of Wednesday) all day in the Teen Room located on the second floor. Make an extra one to take home!

 

 

The Butterfly Project @ your library

 I Never Saw Another Butterfly : Children's Drawings and Poems from Terezin Concentration Camp, 1942-1944 is a selection of children's poems and drawings reflecting their surroundings in Terezin Concentration Camp in Czechoslovakia from 1942 to 1944. The title comes from a poem written by Pavel Friedmann.
