Homeschooling Meet n' Greet


 Our second Home School Meet n' Greet event will take place on Monday, November 9th at 1 p.m.
If you have homeschoolers and would like to meet others whodo, exchange ideas, plans or attend events together, this is the group for you.  It is is a self-run group and Baldwin Boettcher is the base for occasional get-togethers and exchanges.  Hope to see you here!

Musikiddity for Homeschoolers


Musikiddity will bring their professional portable recording studio to the LSC-Tomball Community Library on Monday, October 26th at 1:30 pm. Homeschool children, ages 8-12 will have fun  while they practice reading lines and learning to create sound effects from ordinary household objects in "How to Carve a Pumpkin...Quickly". This program is free but limited to 12 children. Call 832-559-4235 to reserve a spot for your child beginning Thursday, October 19th. Homeschooling Meet n' Greet

We had a great turn out for our Homeschooling Meet n' Greet session.

Parents and caretakers were able to exchange information about their experience with homeschooling, curriculum, talk about challenges and successes.

Texas Bluebonnet Award Voting This Friday!

Homeschoolers the time has come for you to cast your vote for your favorite Texas Bluebonnet Award book of 2015. Come join us anytime this Friday, January 30th  from 1 pm to 6 pm and cast your vote.

Bluebonnet Voting Party

We had our first Bluebonnet Book Award Voting party at Stratford this past Wednesday, and it was a great success!

Thursday is Build It! 10:30 AM

This is supposed to be showing a picture of children playing with legos!Come and join our Building program for ages 3-6. There is always a good time with a little music and mess making in our meeting room.  We have collected many different kinds of building materials, including a massive bucket of Legos to play with.  We have a children's building program every fourth Thursday of the month. Hope to see you there.  

Want to Vote for the 2012-2013 Bluebonnets?

Consider coming to our Bluebonnet Discussion Group! We meet on select Monday afternoons at 3:30 to discuss two or three titles. Check out our online Calendar of Events, or come into the branch to pick up a book discussion schedule. 2012-2013 Texas Bluebonnet Award voting for Baldwin Boettcher will be held on Monday, January 28th.  Any child who has read five books on the list may vote.  

Bluebonnet Book Award Voting!

We will be having a special day for voting at Stratford Library, voting for the Bluebonnet Book Award.  Who is eligible? All homeschool 3rd -6th graders as well as any 3rd-6th graders whose schools may not participate in voting. On Wednesday, January 23rd, at 2:30, they are welcome to come and cast their ballot for their favorite book off of the Texas Bluebonnet Nominees list, found here.

The motto is "Read Five, and then Decide." So please encourage your child to read five books off of the list and then to choose their favorite. So encourage your child to read more through the months of November and December and read five books off of the list.
