Tomorrow @10:30 AM we are going to play with our food. Infant Explorers is an infant craft/activity that provides a whirl to all our senses. One of our moms suggested spaghetti painting for our next infant craft and we are happy to oblige. Make sure your ready for the mess; we have every intention of making a big one. Different colors will be added to the fresh cooked pasta for the delight of children attending. We will paint and squeeze who know what else in the name of creating a truly sensory experience. This activity is intended children 0-18 months to enjoy and explore. The bigger the mess the smarter they get.
Yesterday we had special guest Leovigilda Genova in our Infant Explores Program. I had the privilege of showing Leovigilda the ins and outs of Jell-O painting. We were all slipping and sliding around in abstract full sensory exploration art. If you have never experienced this particular medium it is highly recommended. The babies squished it in their fingers and toes. Afterwards we all cleaned up to play with some infant toys and chase down some bubbles. Thanks to Leovigilda for participating in our program today and to the happy children of the Katherine Tyra Library community for cutting loose and having fun.
