Geocaching on Friday

Come to Mercer Botanic Gardens where the Little Blue Library is having Geocaching every Friday from 9 am to noon.  No registration is necessary. Information and coordinates will be available under the Tree House each Friday. To find out more about this activity, please call Victoria at 832-927-5480.  This program is for all ages, so we hope you will come join the fun!

Monday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Monday, June 10th and the Little Blue Library inside Mercer Botanic Gardens has several programs for the whole family.  First at 10:30 am we have Story Time in the Gardens.  It is for ages 2 to 6 years old and takes place under the Tree House.  After the story a craft will follow.  Then at noon we have Kid’s Café.  Enjoy a delicious and nutritious free lunch provided by the Houston Food Bank.  It takes place under the Tree House and is for kids and their accompanying adult.  Later this evening at 6 pm we will have ESL class taught by our beloved Cindy Groover.  It is a free class that is for all community members that desire to learn to speak the English language or improve their English-speaking skills.  Cindy uses exercises that give the participants a chan

Monday Kid's Program: Garden Seed Bombs

Today, Monday April 15 the Little Blue Library has a great children’s program in store for you!  We will be making plant garden seed bombs. It is a great way to establish plants in difficult to grow areas and learn a bit about what grows in our area. Monday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Monday, April 1st and Baldwin Boettcher Library has several programs in store for you.  First at 10:30 am we have our Story Time in the Gardens.  It is for ages 2 to 6 years, and will be followed by a craft.  Then at 4 pm we have a children’s program for ages 6 to 11 years, Slime Time.  Let’s make ooey gooey slime!  It will take place under the Tree House.  Later in the early evening we will have our ESL class at 6 pm.  It takes place in the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address there is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.   It is a free service to assist members of the community who desire to learn to speak the English language or improve their English speaking skills.  Cindy uses exercises that give the participants a chance to practice speaking the English.

Tuesday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Tuesday, Feb 12 and Baldwin Boettcher Library will be having a Valentine’s craft for all ages.  It will take place under the Tree House at Mercer Botanic Gardens at 4 pm.  There will be adult coloring sheets for the adults as well, so the whole family can join in.  We hope you come and participate.  We would love to see you here!

Engineering with Jelly Beans

Today is Monday Jan 7th and at 4 pm we have a wonderful activity planned for you.  Engineering with Jelly Beans is for ages 6 to 11 years.  We will see what we can engineer with toothpicks and jelly beans.  It will be both fun and delicious.  No registration is necessary.  Just meet us at the Mercer Botanic Garden, Tree House and join the fun!

Monday at Baldwin Boettcher's Little Blue Library

Today is Monday and we have a several programs in store for you.  First at 10:30 am we have Story Time in the Gardens.  The theme this week is “winter”.  It will be followed by a craft.  It takes place under the Tree House, and is for ages 2 to 6 years.  Then at 4 pm we will have our Tween Readers Club for ages 9 to 12 years.  It also takes place under the Tree House.  Each month we read a book and then meet to discuss it and eat a delicious treat.  The book this time is “The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl”.  Then at 6 pm we will have our ESL class taught by our beloved Cindy Groover.  It takes place in the Mercer Botanic Center.

Tuesday at the Little Blue Library

Today is Tuesday, Dec 11 and we will be having our Book Duct Tape Craft today at 4 pm.  It is for all 6 to 99 years and will take place under the Tree House.  All materials will be provided and there is no registration necessary.  If you would like to make a cool journal to give as a gift or for yourself, come join us!  We would love to have you join in!
