Support Your Library

Our funding comes from the state as well as the county, so if you’ve been well served by the library in the past year, please tell your state representatives. They need to hear from you so they can advocate for library services as they go into budget sessions.

To find out who represents you, use the QR code to the left or  click on this link: http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/find-your-representative/ and put in your residential address.

If you like, here is a link to a sample letter provided by the Texas Library Association: http://www.hcpl.net/sites/default/files/Legislative Sample Letter.pdf

A big thanks from us.

Help Us Celebrate the Holiday Season

Now, that our Christmas tree is up, we need help decorating it.  Families are invited to stop by the library to create a Christmas ornament for our tree.  Materials will be available during business hours. While you are at the library check out our holiday books.

Chill at the library

After you've voted today, if you need a comfortable quiet place to get away from the election madness, come to the library!  We have coffee and soda and snacks. Curl up with a good book, listen to your iPod, play on one of our free computers, put your feet up, absorb the good qi; breathe. We're open until 9:30. The election won't be decided before then. Come and hide out, hang out, chill, take a break.

Benjamin Bunny found a new home!

We are sad to say that Benjamin Bunny had to find a new  home.  Due to technical difficulties, Benjamin was not able to remain at the library.  Please remember Benjamin and all the fun we  had watching him, feeding him and loving him.  We know Benjamin will miss all of you too, but  his new home is bigger and better.  Benjamin will get more time out of his cage and actually be handled more often.  He will not be left alone overnight.  We are sure he will find ways to satisfy his curious nature by exploring his new surrounding.  So for now.  Bye, Benjamin.  We will miss you!
