A Mother's Love Can Be No Greater

I hope that everyone has a beautiful Mother's Day.

Here are a few books that you might enjoy reading this weekend.

A Lot Like Love...

love locksValentine’s Day has come and gone, but February is still the month of love! Last week, in the spirit of the month, I wrote about classic love stories in film. Full of grand gestures and promises, these films make viewers long for a sweeping romance of their own.

But not all love stories have to be tragic and passionate. Some of my favorites are light-hearted romantic comedies. These movies are often looked down upon by critics and labeled as too “girly”, but the genre is constantly expanding and pushing the boundaries of what makes a watchable, believable romantic comedy. There is certainly something to be said about love with a dash of screwball humor, a sprinkling of witty banter, and a pinch of awkward situations.

If you’re in the mood for a romantic comedy, browse the HCPL catalog and request one today!
