Reading is Magic Show!

   Kick off the 2016 Summer Reading Program "on your mark, get set...read!"  this Monday, June 6th at 3:00 pm with Magician Lanny Kibbey as he celebrates the importance of reading with his "reading is magic" show!  This FREE program is guaranteed fun for children and adults of all ages!  This Summer, in addition to our regular weekly story times for all ages, the children's area will have free shows every Monday afternoon as well as programs and movies every Thursday afternoon.  Come to the Children's Reference desk for your Summer fun calendar or access our online calendar of events! Get Ready - it's gonna be a whole Summer of fun!

Captain America's Reading Show!

Captain America is visiting North Channel Library this Wednesday, July 29 at 2:30pm! Steve Rogers will be here to talk about reading, his super hero friends and show off some of the coolest technology ever invented like x-ray glasses that can read words inside a closed book and a scientific trick that makes hulk slime! Don't miss the relay game and the wacky brand of comedy and magic that only Incredible Events can provide! For more information or groups please call the library at 281-457-1631. Abracadabra! Do you like magic? Then don't miss Julian Franklin's  amazing tricks and puppets! Join us in the Children's Area for  Heroes Without Capes on Wednesday, July 15 at 2:30 pm.
