We had lots of fun with "The Joker" and his magic show last Saturday!  If you missed our program last Saturday, do not despair - you will have a chance to have fun with us on March 23rd at our Fancy Nancy Tea Party.

Hey kids, do you like magic?  Then join us for astounding tricks with Julian Franklin this Wednesday, July 6th at 2:30 pm in the children's area of the North Channel Library.  Julian Franklin will astound you with his magical feats!   And don't forget, it's not too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program!  See you Wednesday.

Abracadabra, Hocus Pocus, Presto Chango, Shazam...VOILA!

I am excited to announce that the Atascocita Branch Library, summer reading kick off celebration, will highlight the talents of magician Steve Burton! Audience participation will be encourage, and the program will include live animals, comedy, music and special treats for all his helpers.

Children's Summer Programs at the Spring Branch Memorial Library

My first summer as the new children’s librarian at the Spring Branch Memorial Library has been a whirlwind of fun for me and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all the customers who visit the branch, especially the children. I hope the kids have enjoyed the programs as much as I have and want to remind everyone that there are still three weeks left of the Summer Reading Program (SRP) left, with exciting programs throughout the week for children of all ages. In addition to regular storytimes for infants, toddlers and preschool children to age 6 the branch will be will host special programs with activities appropriate especially for children until August 7th.  This week we will learn the beautiful art of Origami with the Japanese Culture Society of Houston on Thursday at 3 and 4 PM.
