Community Open HouseYou are invited!!  The Barbara Bush Library will celebrate its 10th anniversary in its new building with an Open House for the community on Saturday, December 1, from 2:00 - 4:00pm in the Earl Elliott Room. Refreshments will be served by the Barbara Bush Library Friends, with support from Rockfish Seafood Grill, Bullrito's, HEB, and Kroger's. Musical entertainment is provided by Strack and Doerre Intermediate Schools, the Happy Fiddlers from Symphony North Houston, and a quartet from Christian Youth Theatre. Holiday films and crafts are planned for children in the Robin Bush Activity Room. Please join us!

Children's Department holds Open House for teen volunteers on Saturday, April 14 from 2-3 PM

It's almost summertime.  That means lots of library fun for children and teen volunteers!  The Children's Department is accepting applications for teen volunteers.  To learn more about summer volunteer opportunities, teens and their parents are invited to an Open House on Saturday, April 14 from 2-3 pm.   

If a teen is unable to attend on April 14, applications are available at the Kids Information Desk or at http://www.hcpl.net/sites/default/files/volapp.pdf.   Applications will be taken through Thursday, May 10.  For questions about the Open House or volunteering, please call 281-488-1906 and ask for the Children's Department.
