Books Alive performs "Tacky the Penguin"

On Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10:30am, we are very excited to present the Books Alive performance of the beloved children's book, "Tacky the Penguin."  This performance will take the place of our Toddler Story Time for the week.  Try to get to the library a little early, as early voting will be taking place and finding parking may be difficult.  The performance will be in the children's area, right when you walk in the door.

This is sure to be a fun event!  Don't miss out.  There may be opportunity to take pictures at the end, so don't forget your cameras!

hat image"CROWNS, a stand-up-and-testify musical based on the book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry, focuses on Yolanda, a young Brooklyn girl who is sent down South to stay with her grandmother. As Yolanda encounters her grandmother and her grandmother's friends in the rituals of preparing for and going to Sunday church service, she begins to discover connections to older traditions and a deeper spirituality.
