Teen Pokémon Terrarium

Teens ages 12 and up are invited to enjoy a Pokémon craft this Wednesday, March 20th at 4:30 p.m. Teens can come and make a small terrarium habitat in a jar for a small Pokémon to live in.

All supplies are provided courtesy of the Friends of the South Houston Library.


The Big Things The Little Blue Library Has Going On This Week

It is another big and busy week for the Little Blue Library at Mercer Botanic Gardens.  Monday is Story Time in the Gardens at 10:30 am.  The subject this week is flowers.  There will be Kids Café again this week Monday through Friday from noon to 1 pm.   Wednesday the kids program will be a story from Africa about a lonely girl who magically transforms cooking gourds into her friends.  This is for ages 5 to 12 years old.  On Thursday, we will have our continuation of 7 continents 7 instruments.  This week is Antarctica, and this one is all about nature.  Create your own instrument from what you find around you!  Then, last but not least, we will have our Family Friday where you can play Pokémon Go and Geocaching with the whole family from 9 am to 3 pm. 

Pokemon Club!

Pokemon Club is Meeting at 4:30 pm  this Friday! Kids 8-12 are invited to come and trade cards, play on the DS or battle at our Gym.

Grade School Programs This Week

We have TWO great programs for your grade-schoolers this week at the Fairbanks Branch Library. Tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 4:45 pm we'll be holding a Dia De Los Muertos Craft. On Friday, Nov. 3 we'll be holding Pokemon Club at 4:45 pm. Come on out and enjoy these programs! Call 713-466-4438 for more information.

Teen Pokémon Pokéball - June 20 @ 2:00 PM

Gotta catch em all!! Come by the Meeting Room on Tuesday, June 20, at 2:00-3:30 PM to make your very own “magic” Pokémon Pokéball. (Think of a Magic 8 Ball, but specifically to help you in your Pokémon catching needs.)

Pokemon Club

Come to Pokemon Club Friday, March 24 @ 4:30 pm to trade cards, battle, play Pokemon Go, and make pokemon related crafts.  All kids in grades 2-5 are invited.

Project Peep and Pokémon at North Channel

Project peepProject Peep is still underway at North Channel Branch Library. Baby chicks are now 7 days old and growing fast. Stop by the display case near the front desk to see them grow and play. 
If you can't make it by the library, you can follow "harriscountypl" on YouTube to watch live feed.
Today "Natu" from Pokémon Go decided to hang with the baby chicks and we were able to snap a picture. Pokémon Club will be March 25th at 3 PM.
