KnittingIf you knit, crochet, quilt, embroider, cross-stitch or engage in any other kind of needlework, you are invited to join our Needle Nook group.  Come and do your needlework project at the library while visiting with other needlecrafters and sharing ideas and knowledge.  They have lots of fun and love to teach and learn from each other!  They meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 10 am to noon.

Quilting Bee

Be at the Bee! Our very own Quilting Bee will be held here at the Northwest Branch starting Tuesday April 24, 2012 @Quilt, Quilting Bee 2pm.  The Bee will continue to be held every Tuesday @ 2pm.  You are welcome to bring your projects, share your ideas or come in and learn a new craft.

The process of quilting uses a needle and thread to join two or more layers of material to make a quilt. This sounds easy enough. I'm in!

Quilt WinnerCongratulations to Olga Tompkins, winner of the raffle for the lovely quilt donated to the Barbara Bush Library Friends by the Serendipity Quilters.  All proceeds from the raffle will be used to buy books for the library.
