Teen Coding with Robots - Wed. March 15 @ 4:30 PM

On Wednesday, March 15, from 4:30-5:30 PM, we’re learning how to code with robots at the Kingwood Branch Library! Using Blocky, a JavaScript coding language, teens can program Dash & Dot robots to navigate through an obstacle course.

Dash & Dot robots are part of Codename Gener8, a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-focused program for teens.

LEGO Robotics

 

Date & Time: November 14th at 4:00pm,  Community Meeting Room

Teens and tweens will build and program their own LEGO robots using WeDo kits. Ages 11-17.

 

The WeDo Robotics Camp is funded by the American Association of University Women and the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services Archives Commission (2016).

Tween Time: WeDo Lego Robotics

Home School Lego RoboticsWe have had such a great time with our WeDo Lego Robotics Programs here at North Channel Library. 
Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, April 27 at 4:30 pm for our final program during Tween time.
Tweens will build with the Lego WeDo kits and create fun motorized projects like a Ferris wheel, or a Race Car finish line.
Registration is Required for Tweens aged 10 - 12 years old. Call the library at 281-457-1631 or stop by the front desk to sign up.

Coding with Robots & 3D Printer Open Lab

Kingwood Codename Gener8 3D PrinterSpring Break is almost over, but the fun is just beginning! Learn how to code using Dash & Dot Robots, controlled by coding on an iPad. Join us on Friday, March 18 from 2:00-4:00 in the Meeting Room. Teens can also learn how to use a 3D Printer during our 3D printer open lab this Saturday, March 19 from 2:00-4:00 in the Computer Lab. Teens can work on their designs for the new NASA challenge from FutureEngineers.
