Safety

Visit Us at Katy Safety Fest!

Helicopters, ambulances, fire trucks, and more!  What are you doing this Saturday?  Here's an idea for fun; visit booth for the Maud Marks Library as we participate in this year's Katy Area Safety Fest at Typhoon Texas!  Come meet your local first responders.  Tour an ambulance and a fire truck.  Learn various tips and tricks to keep you and your family safer.  Have your child bounce in the inflatable kid zone.  Have your child participate in the kids "junior firefighter challenge".  Best of all, visit our booth, get a library card and check out the many seminars, classes, and events available though your local public library.

Join us a Typhoon Texas this Saturday, April 14 from 10 AM to 2 PM.  As you are checking out all the entertainment and food, make sure you stop by and say, "Hello" to your local friendly librarians.

Harvey

A big storm named Harvey is headed to the Texas Gulf coast. The Houston area is poised for heavy rain and flooding. Make sure you are prepared with an emergeny kit. Also, stop by the Kingwood Library and stock up on some books! Inclement weather can be a good time to catch up on some reading. Here are some book recommendations from Penguin India blog.

We'll keep you posted about any library closures if they are needed. Stay safe everyone!
