Olympics Party!

Join us on Monday at 4:00 pm for our Olympics Party.  There will be relay races, games, crafts, prizes and more!  Everyone ages 5 and up are welcome!  There will also be a prize for whoever of any age can find all the Olympic rings throughout the library!  Be sure to come in and make your guess!

Dragoneers With Miss Connie During Spring Break

If you have been wondering what Dragoneers is all about, here's your chance:  they will be meeting during Spring  Break, Thursday, March 14, at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room. The Dragoneers meet, then march around the Children's Area, discuss which book they have been reading, hear a story read by Miss Connie, make a craft, and have a snack. 

Popcorn Snack for our Preschool Storytime Tuesday, 10:30 AM

Ms. Andleeb holding her corn Storytime craft and a storytime book.It’s Fall! The weather is getting at least a little bit cooler. To celebrate, join us in our Preschool Storytime honoring our fall vegetable: Corn! Tuesday, September 18 at 10:30 AM Ms. Andleeb will be reading stories and creating a very cute corn craft, we are even going to eat delicious fresh popped popcorn.  This program is intended for children 3 -6 years old.  Free tickets for this program are at the information desk  starting at 10:00 AM.  It is going to be a lot of fun. Hope you can make it.  

End of Summer Reading PARTY!

The End of the Summer Reading PARTY will be Monday, August 13 starting at 7:00 in the BIG Meeting Room just inside the lobby to the right.  "Happy the Clown" is coming. There will be snacks and prizes, too.

 

A Year of Sweet Treats

July 21 is National Junk Food Day, so go out and celebrate by indulging in your favorite bad snack. Once you're finished, find the next occasion to celebrate in the pages of Foodfest 365!: The Officially Fun Food Holiday Cookbook by Yvan D. Lemoine.

Penguin craft for the School Age Kids

School Age kids come and make a "wobbly" penguin (and have a penguin snack) on Monday, January 30, at 4 pm in the Children's Activity Room.  On Thursday, February 2 at 4 pm we will make a groundhog craft.  Maybe WINTER  will soon be over!

Don't forget Children's Storytime with Miss Connie on Tuesdays at 10:30 and 2:20; it's for all children.

Dragoneers Return!

Thursday, September 8 at 4:00 pm the Dragoneers return. This is a club for school-age children on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.  At the sign-up time,each child will receive one free book and a free Dragoneers "T" shirt.  Kids be prepared to share something about your favorite books.  On the second Thursdays, there will be activities, crafts or programs and occasionally simple snacks.

Remember!  Pick up tickets at the Children's Reference Desk for the Toddler Time programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am.

End of the Summer Reading Program Party

Our End of the Summer Reading Program Party will be from 7:00 pm -8:30 pm, in the meeting room just to the right as you enter the lobby.  We will be having "Happy the Clown",  There will be games and snacks.

Ask for tickets for the Toddler Time at 11:15 am on Tuesday at the Children's Reference Desk.

Hawaii Theme for Asian Pacific Heritage Month in the Children's Area

Aloha! Join  Miss Penny for a Marvelous Monday craft, 5/16 at 4 pm, making Hawaiian necklaces.

Remember that Tuesday Pre School Story Time meets at 10:30 am and 2:20 pm.  All are welcome, with no sign-in necessary.

Thrilling Thursday, 5/19 at 4 pm is our Hawaiian Party with MIss Connie!  We will be making leis,  cracking open coconuts, learning about hula dancing, playing some games, and having some island snacks!

Fabulous Fridays at the Movies, 5/20 at 4 pm,  will be showing a family-friendly movie with free popcorn.
