Children's Area Changes 1.1

Much like Apple does with Iphones and computers, we’ll be sending you updates as we continue to make the upgrades/changes to the Children’s Area.  The most recent and recognizable one is that we have moved all the books previously shelved in the “series” section into Fiction.  The reason: there are so many fabulous books that are part of a “series” that we simply don’t have the room to highlight all of them in that area.  As of today, all series books are now shelved by author. We have pulled a few of the more popular series and they are located on one side of the 2x2 pyramid shelf near the center of the children’s area.  On this shelf, you will find favorites such as Disney, Star Wars and Superheroes. On the shelves at the front of the fiction section (the former series shelves) you will find our Spanish collection, which consists of biographies, fiction, non-fiction and picture books as well as a small selection of Chinese language books. As always, please ask at the reference desk if you need help finding or requesting a book.  More great changes ahead…we’ll keep you posted!
