Spring Break for Baldwin Boettcher @ Lone Star College North Harris

Spring is upon us, and the mid-semester break is next week for Lone Star College North Harris where Baldwin Boettcher currently calls home.   We will be closed from Monday, March 12th through Sunday March 18th for spring break. We will resume our regular hours on Monday, March 19th.   Also, there will be no Pop Up at Cypress Trails Methodist Church on March 12th or March 19th.  The Pop Up will resume on Monday, March 26th at 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Have a great spring break everyone!

Visit The Evelyn Meador Library

Spring has sprung! What a wonderful time of year. As the weather is getting nicer more people are getting out of their houses and next week is spring break for CCISD. If you’re looking for something to do during spring break we have a couple of things going on here at the Evelyn Meador Library.

Living History - Ancient Egypt in the Children's Area!

  Did you know that in ancient Egypt, servants smeared honey on their bodies to attract flies away from the Pharaoh?  Did we get your attention?  If so, join us to learn more interesting facts as you journey back in time to ancient Egypt at Living History - Ancient Egypt on Thursday, March 15th at 5pm in the Children's area!  Learn about culture, art and history with hands on activities and crafts.  This program is FREE and for children ages 8 - 12 (and an accompanying adult).  Please call 832-559-4235 to register for this program.

Spring Break at North Channel

Spring Break Week at the Children's Department!

  •    The Children's Department is the perfect destination for a week of Spring Break fun! 
  • Grab and Go crafts will be availabel (while supplies last) at the Children's Reference Desk.  On Monday, March 13th pick up a rainbow sun craft and  on Wednesday, March 15th you can pick up a cookie monster bookmark.                    
  • Story Times:  Monday – Thursday (please access the calendar for specific days, ages and times)
  • Art Explorers: Tuesday, March 14th at 5:00 pm.  Learn about Pop Art and create a butterfly canvas. This program is for children ages 8 – 12 and requires registration by calling 832-559-4235.
  • Yeah for Spring Break!  See you then!

Read-In at the Fairbanks Library!

All kids 5-10 are welcome to come and read whatever they want on Tuesday, March 14 from 2-5pm! Bring a pillow, blanket, bean bag chair! Whatever you need to be comfy as we sit back, relax, and share a favorite passage, story, or character! There will be snacks and door prizes! Come and go as you like!

Spring Break @ HCPL

Spring Break @ HCPL graphicSpring Break is coming up soon and if you're looking for fun, free ways to keep your kids and teens engaged and entertained, Harris County Public Library is just the ticket. In addition to their regular slate of programs, many HCPL branches will host special events the week of March 11 - 16. Marsha Smiley will bring a llama, goat, bunnies, piglets, ducks, chicks, deer, and a mini-donkey for you to see and pet.
