As a follow-up to Kimberly’s blog about summer movies, I thought I’d blog this week about summer TV.
When I was a kid, it seemed like there was only one TV season. The new shows came on in the fall and lasted until the next year. Today, television programs change all the time. New series debut in the fall, then some midseason shows come on in the winter or early spring. And then there are the summer series.
The majority of the most popular summer series are shown on cable. They are programs that can get us through the long hot summer, satisfying our need for new comedy and drama as we wait for our other favorites to return in the fall.
