Trees for Houston

Trees For Houston @ Your Library

Do you want to help the planet? Then join us this Thursday, July 17th at 3:00 PM in the Public Meeting Room for a down to earth program. Trees for Houston will be showing us how important it is to plant and protect trees in our environment. We are going to have fun planting seeds and helping our planet.

Save Your Trees

The majestic trees that make our area so pleasant and distinctive had a rough summer last year. Thousands died in our terrible drought. The weather wizards are telling us to expect another dry summer this year. So we have invited Barry Ward, the executive director of Trees for Houston, to come to the library on Tuesday, March 20th, and tell us all how we can save and protect our trees this summer. The lecture, from 10-11 a.m., is free, and no registration is necessary. It'll be held in Room L-129. Please join us.
