Tween Program

Tween Afternoon Art Program on Wednesday, April 11 @ 4:30 pm

Tweens 8-12 years old can learn about art history when they attend Tween Afternoon Art on Wednesday, April 11 at 4:30 pm.  Tweens will learn about the Fauvist Movement in art and then do an art project inspired by the movement.   Tickets will be given out at the Kids Information Desk at  4:00 pm.   This art history program continues on Wednesdays - April 18 (Cubism) and April 25 (Expressionism) at 4:30 pm.   Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program with art supplies.

Tweens & Teens: Get Crafty with Camp Stitch-a-Lot: Macrame Edition

Calling all Tweens and Teens! Join us for a week of Macrame! Create a different project every day. Learn how to knot bracelets, headbands, necklaces, and a dreamcatcher. Registration is suggested as supplies and space is limited. This program is open to tweens and teens ages 10-18 years old. You can pick up a registration form at the front desk of the library.

Tween Time: Origami Fortunes

At Tween Time this Wednesday, May 31 at 4:30pm we'll be celebrating Asian Pacific Heritage Month by making our own Paper Fortune Cookies! Join the fun and try your hand at a variety of colorful origami animals as well... Tween Time is a monthly program, on the last Wednesday of the month, for ages 9-12 years where socialization is encouraged in a casual setting through crafts, science, art activities and occasional movies. Tween Gardening Program on Friday, April 7 @ 4:30 pm

Tweens 8-12 years old can start learning the fundamentals of herb gardening this Friday, April 7 at 4:30 pm.  The participants will learn a little about growing plants from seed and then get to start their own garden to take home.   Tickets are required.  They are free and available starting at 4:00 pm.
