Teens Gingerbread Game

Come by the Teen Area at any time during the month of December to play the Gingerbread Guessing Game. Take a look at the whiteboard and figure out which literary characters the Gingerbread people are dressed up as. Think you have all the correct answers? Turn your entry form in for a prize!

Tween Time: Fall Trees @ NC

Fall TreesThe leaves are changing colors and we're anxiously awaiting the cold weather that comes with it. During today's Tween time we will be using all the colors of fall to create our own painted masterpiece. 
Join us in the public meeting room today at 4:30 pm.
**Tween time is a monthly program recommended for kids ages 9-12 years old.

STEAM Camp

Would you like to create some "Aromatic Art"? Monday, November 28 at 6pm during STEAM Camp we will make nature-inspired paint from spices. All materials will be supplied for this program which is recommended for ages 6 - 12 years. Public Meeting Room. No tickets required.

Tween Time: Day of the Dead Celebration @ NC

Sugar Skull CupcakesYummy treats are what's in store for Tween Time today at 4:30 pm in the Public Meeting Room. We will be making Sugar Skull Cupcakes in honor of Dia de los Muertos. 
Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) 2016 in United States of America will start on October 31 and will end on November 2. For books regarding this Mexican holiday, please see our online catalog.

Several Children's Programs coming up later this week!

Here are some upcoming programs in the Children's Department:  Thursday, October 13 @ 4:30 pm, children 3-12 years old can get ready for fall/Halloween decorating by making a cute bat and designing a couple of fun buttons to wear; Thursday, October 13 @ 6 pm, children can wear their pajamas or bring a stuffed animal friend to Pajama Storytime; and Tweens 8-12 years old can create an amazing mask on Friday, October 14 @ 2:00 pm.  All these programs require tickets.  They are free and available in the Children's Department starting 30 minutes before the program.

At MeeTeen! here at North Channel we'll be playing Korean games and celebrating Asian Pacific Heritage Month.
