Friendly Reminder to Parents

 Due to special summer programing, Tales for Tots Storytime, and Babytime (Infant Lapsit) will not be held Friday, July 10th through Friday, July 17th. 

We will resume our regular schedule on Monday, July 20th.

Lunchtime Yoga

Join us for a FREE lunchtime yoga class with instructor Sheila!

Bring a towel, yoga mat and water.

YogaTomorrow is our one April date for Saturday yoga at 2:30pm.  Come back for more in May on 5/16 and 5/30.  As always, bring your own mat and bottled water.

Adult Yoga Every Wednesday

Adults Practicing YogaAre you looking for a convenient way to try yoga for the first time? Try attending our Adult Yoga program each Wednesday. It is the perfect opportunity to learn and practice yoga techniques with other enthusiasts.

The group meets in the meeting room at 6:15 PM. You will need to bring your own mat. We’ll see you there!

Family Yoga with the YMCA

yogaDo you need to de-stress and take a step back from the holiday madness?  Looking for a healthy activity you can do together as a family? Our local YMCA staff will lead us in an all-ages family yoga program on Monday, December 8th at 6 pm. Get ready to relax and s-t-r-e-t-c-h for your health!

Attention patrons, beginning in August Eight Limbs of Yoga with Hemlata Gupta as instructor will host free yoga classes here at Northwest Branch Library. All we ask is for you to bring your own mat. Also, you will need to sign a waiver saying that you’re taking this class at your own risk. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Sign Up at the library or call Gwendolyn at 281-890-2665.
Pick up a flyer at the library with all the dates or get a calendar and you can always ask Us.
 

Class is scheduled on Saturday’s 11:00AM-12:15 PM first class is August 3, 2013.

Evening Class is also available 6:00PM-7:45 PM first class is August 7, 2013.

Let's Get Ready to Yoga!

Are you one of the many parents who have children that watch hours of t.v., play non stop on their video games, or zone out like zombies in front of the computer? Well Northwest library is here to help. Starting Saturday January 5, 2013 we will be hosting the iPad Kid's Yoga Journey. Get in shape with your child in mind and body. The session will be from 2:00 p.m - 2:40 p.m. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and get here 30 minutes early to get a free ticket. Space is limited to 24 children ages 4 years old and up. If you can't make it to this session, we will be having another one on Saturday January 19th also from 2:00 p.m. - 2:40 p.m. Save the date! We'll see you here!
