Silly Hat
A silly hat, a silly hat,
I wear it on my head cause that's where it's at.
And I know it looks as funny as can be.
A Silly hat, a silly hat,
I wear it on my head cause that's where it's at.
And I like it cause it feels like part of me.
It may be too big or it may be too little.
It might even have a hole in the middle.
It might be coloured red or blue or green,
And if someone saw my sillly hat
That I had on my head cause that' where it's at
They'd think it was the funniest thing they'd seen.
But I like it cause it feels a part of me!
H-A-T-S (Tune: Frere Jacques)
That spells hats
That spells hats
Everybody wears one
Everybody wears one
Just like that!
Just like that!
Hat Happy
I wear my hat upon my head.
I wear my hat upon my hair.
I wear it here, I wear it there
My hat and I go everywhere.

I wear it in the rain and snow.
I wear it even when it's hot.
My hair feels lonely when it's off.
My head feels happy when it's on.

And when it's time to get to bed,
And Mama says, "Take off your hat."
I do exactly as I'm told
And put it on my kitty cat!
Three Cornered Hat
My hat it has three corners
Three corners has my hat
And had it not three corners
It would not be my hat.
Paper Plate and Bowl Hat

Cut the circle portion out of a dessert size paper plate. Trim the rim slightly of a paper bowl. Fit the paper bowl through the open center of the plate and staple in place. The hat can now be decorated. A jaunty feather can be placed in a hat band. Punch a hole on either side of the hat and add yarn ties to hold the hat on the child's head.
