If You're Happy and You Know It (Jungle Edition) by:James Warhola
A brother and sister go on a make-believe safari and give a roar like a lion, laugh out loud with the hyena and flap their wings like a parrot as they make there way through the jungle. Based on the original "If You're Happy and You Know It" tune.
Hattie Hippo by:Christine Loomis
4 short stories in which Hatti manages to cause herself grief including overshooting her jump in ballet, eating all the food at her party, splashing all the water out of the pool, and falling asleep while playing hide-and-seek.
Little Monkey Lost by:Keith DuQuette
Little monkey is bored so he leaves his mother to go in search of adventure. His mother has warned him that if he ever gets lost he should ask the other monkeys to help him get home. By talking with the other monkeys he learns to howl, swin, eat fruit, and hug, but none of the monkeys takes him home. He uses his newly acquired skills to find his own way home, and once safely shows the others what he has learned so no one will be bored again. This book is a great way to introduce children to a number of different types of monkeys. At the end of the book, there is a brief description of each one.
Just the Thing by:Damian Harvey
Big gorilla cannot reach an itch so he gets different advice from everyone in the jungle, none of which works. It is not until he returns home that he discovers that the answer to his troubles was there all along. Illustrations and color are excellent.
