A caveman is chased away from his cave for his noncoformity with his peers.

Place tables on their sides and cover them with brown butcher paper. At the end of the rectangle I draped the paper to make an entrance. The lights were dimmed and a lantern flashlight was placed in the middle. We used oil pastels to make cave drawings on the butcher block paper.

The children were able to cut out their portion of the cave painting that they created and take it home. There was a lot of discussion about the life style that we lead today compared to how prehistoric humans behaved in their environment.
