Fall Winds
www.themailboxcompanion.com April/May 2005
(Have a red and orange streamer for each child)

Fall winds blow high.
(wiggle streamer high)
Fall winds blow low.
(wiggle streamer low)
They start out as a breezes
(wiggle streamer slowly)
Then they grow and grow!
(wiggle streamer faster and faster)
Round and round they go.
(wiggle streamer in a circle)
Swaying in every treetop,
(wiggle streamer back ad forth)
Sweeping across the grass
(wiggle streamer across the floor)
Then, just like that, the winds stop!
(drop streamer at feet)
Pumpkins on the Move
themailboxcompanion.com Oct/Nov 2011
(Make a fist for your pumpkin)

I have a pumpkin in front of me.
I think Ill put it on my knee!
Then Ill hide it under my chair.
Can you see it under there?
Ill take it out so I can put
That pretty pumpkin on my foot.
Then off my foot and in my hair
My, it look so nice up there!
Out to the side! Up in the air!
Is that a pumpkin way up there?
Behind my back my pumpkin goes.
Where can it be? Nobody knows!
Here it is for all to see.
Its right back here in front of me!

LEAVES

(I used the streamers again for some nice movement)

The leaves on the trees turn Orange and Red
Orange and Red, Orange and Red,
The leaves on the trees turn Orange and Red
All around the town.

The leaves of the tree come tumbling down,
Tumbling down, tumbling down,
The leaves of the tree come tumbling down,
All Around the town.

The leaves of the trees go Swish, swish, swish,"
Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish,"
The leaves of the trees go "swish, swish, swish"
All around the town.

We'll rake them in a pile and jump right in!
Jump right in, Jump right in!
We'll rake them in a pile and jump right in!
All around the town.
Craft
A PaperBag Scarecrow

Use the Baby Hands die cut for the straw hair, a cut out hat shape and a triangle nose.
Kids glue on the hair, hat and nose and use crayons to decorate the face on the Scarecrow.
Can also use left over bits and scraps to decorate the hat.
