Eating a Christmas pie;
He put in his thumb,
And pulled out a plum,

Four and Twenty Blackbirds
Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlor eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!
Cut a manila color of paper into a circle 5 or 6 inches in diameter. This is your pie crust.

Cut 6 strips of manila paper 5 or 6 inches long and about a ˝ wide.

Glue the strips in a lattice like pattern over the manila circle pie crust.

Cut off the excess ends of the pie lattice strips that extend past the pie crust circle.

Use colored dots and/or colored buttons for the berries in the pie. Glue down the dots and/or buttons in between the lattice pattern of the top of the crust for the filling.

Note: If you fill in the pie first you get more 3D effect of the pie filling, but it is harder to keep the glued pieces together.
Have Fun!
