Melting Snowman
Make a ball of soft, white snow
Pat, pat, pat, and watch it grow
Big round snowballs, one, two three
Build a man of snow for me.
Sun comes out to warm the day
Mr. Snowman melts away!
Walking in the Snow
Let’s go walking in the snow
Walking, walking, on tiptoe
Lift your one foot way up high
Then the other to keep it dry
All around the yard we skip
Watch your step, or you might slip!
Winter Weather
Let’s put on our mittens and button up our coats
Wrap a scarf snugly around our throats
Pull on our boots, fasten the straps,
And tie on tightly our warm winter caps.
Then open the door…and out we go
Into the soft and feathery snow
Dance like Snowflakes (Frere Jacques)
Dance like snowflakes
Dance like snowflakes
In the air
In the air
Whirling, twirling, snowflakes,
Whirling, twirling, snowflakes
Here and there
Here and there.
Snowflakes, snowflakes (Twinkle, Twinkle)
Snowflakes, snowflakes, dance around
Snowflakes, snowflakes, touch the ground
Snowflakes, snowflakes, in the air
Snowflakes, snowflakes everywhere
Snowflakes, snowflakes dance around
Snowflakes, snowflakes, touch the ground
Make and dress a snowman!
Explain what a snowball fight it to the children. Then as I sing the following song, I toss 2 inch white pompoms into the air. Afterward a snowball fight insues. To end the snowball fight, I find it helps to have everyone throw their snowballs at me on the count of three!

I Love Snow (3 Blind Mice)

I love snow, I love snow
Soft, white snow. Soft white snow
It falls on the ground so soft and white
Sometimes it falls all through the night
Did you ever see such a beautiful sight
As soft white snow?
