Life-size self portraits: Have parent/caregiver trace around child?s body on butcher paper and then let the children color in their clothing, face, and hair. (I usually have a coloring page or an alternative activity for children who may be too young to stay still during tracing or who may not wish to participate in activity.) |

I and my Spanish-speaking partner take turns reading page for page (Spanish then English) each story. Be aware: hearing each story twice (Spanish/English) can be challenging for younger children. Consequently, four or five books may be all that can be read for each story session depending on the average age of your audience. |
