If you?re happy and you know it, clap your hands
If you?re happy and you know it, clap your hands
If you?re happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it
If you?re happy and you know it, clap your hands
Craft
Life-size self portraits: Have parent/caregiver trace around child?s body on butcher paper and then let the children color in their clothing, face, and hair. (I usually have a coloring page or an alternative activity for children who may be too young to stay still during tracing or who may not wish to participate in activity.)
Notes
I and my Spanish-speaking partner take turns reading page for page (Spanish then English) each story. Be aware: hearing each story twice (Spanish/English) can be challenging for younger children. Consequently, four or five books may be all that can be read for each story session depending on the average age of your audience.
