Butterfly, Butterfly
Butterfly, butterfly,
Dancing all around
("fly" fingers up and down)
Butterfly, butterfly,
Now you're on the ground.
("fly" fingers to the floor)
In a tree,
You're hard to see,
Now you've flown away.
("fly" fingers behind back)
Butterfly, oh, Butterfly,
Please come back some day.
("fly" fingers to front)
Locate a pretty butterfly coloring page and have each child color it with bright colors. Cut out the butterfly and tape it to a paper wristband. Tape the wristband around the child's wrist and have him/her move her arm up and down to "fly" the butterfly around.
