This storytime list is for School-aged children (upper elementary and older). I have chosen these books for both the content and for the wonderful illustrations they possess. Thus, these items would work well in a classroom setting. I would suggest reading only one to two books at a time so a group discussion could follow.
Additional Note: I do not recommend these items for young children. Developmentally, a young child is not able to disconnect reality and fantasy. Consequently, a young child may become frightened. For children to become good "readers," it is important that their first experiences with books are positive ones.
