Berries and Bears

This is a lyrical story about a berry-hunt that a country boy and his bear pal embark upon. The rhymes and illustrations are a delicious combination.
The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear by:Don Wood
By the end of this story, you will have convinced little Mouse to share half of a prize strawberry with you to keep a big, hungry Bear from getting at it.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear (The Berry Version of this Action Rhyme)
Teddy bear, teddy bear crawl, crawl, crawl (start on the ground).
Teddy bear, teddy bear stand up tall (and growl).
Teddy bear, teddy bear look all around (turn in circles).
Teddy bear, teddy bear don’t make a sound (shhhhhh).
Teddy bear, teddy bear sniff the air.
Teddy bear, teddy bear eat some berries (pretend to eat).
Teddy bear, teddy bear smile real sweet.
Then teddy bear, teddy bear go to sleep.
Berries! (A Chant)
Berries turned green
Berries turned red
Berries turned blue
And then Mama said:
“Pick me a few.”
I said, “Yes Ma’am!”
So Mama made pie
And blueberry jam!
